Yes people, for better or for worse - wedding season is upon us.
Last night KING got a wedding overdose at the annual New York Weddings event at the Metropolitan Pavilion, hosted by New York Magazine. Although no one at KING is on their way to the alter, we just had to drop by and check it out!
As soon as we got there, we made a bee line to see designer and friend Angelo Lambrou, whose Atelier is located in New York's own East Village. Angelo designed a custom gown for KING's CEO Keri Ingvarsson when she got married and has been a close friend ever since! As expected, we were drooling over the beautiful gowns Angelo had on display, both wedding and couture.

Other beautiful dresses on display
It was a stampede of Bridezillas at the Metropolitan Pavilion
The gowns weren't the only thing on display - we also saw some larger-than-life wedding cakes and decorations.
Wedding cake decorated with - soap bubbles? Which bride doesn't want that?
A more colorful and decadent decoration
The wedding gowns ranged from full skirts filled with tulle to vintage cocktail chic. There was definitely a dress for every bride.
I love the bride on a bike...Veuve in the basket!
A gigantic flower necklace? Why not?

KING's favorite!
Thank you fantastic team at Angelo Lambrou - Laura, Angelo and Kendall!
It has not been a good week for Marc Jacobs' CEO Robert Duffy. Fresh off the disgruntled intern's Twitter rampage, describing Duffy as a "tyrant", comes even more disturbing allegations from former CFO/COO Patrice Lataillade.
According to the New York Post, Lataillade claims that Duffy used company money to fund personal things...not SO unheard of. But then, the allegations get a little bizarr-o. Making employees to watch gay porn? Forced pole dancing? Using nude/sexual photos of the MJ staff in a book that he produced? *Why are there even nude/sexual photos of the staff? Hello Red Flag!
This looks like it is going to be a nasty game of "He Said, She Said"... I'm popping the popcorn as I type and getting ready for the show.
Last night was the second annual Bid to Save the Earth's green auction in Rockefeller Center. This year they partnered with Runway to Green, an organization which connects designers with important environmental causes. This year the proceeds went to many global environmental charities including The Central Park Conservatory.
There were some really amazing experiences were auctioned off and almost 2 million dollars was raised in under an hour! (But then again, who wouldn't want 2 tickets to the Chanel Couture show in Paris or a personal private flight with Harrison Ford as your pilot?)
Some of today's hottest designers collaborated to create a collection using sustainable manufacturing practices. Guests were treated to "green" looks from Balenciaga, Thakoon, Oscar de la Renta, and Stella McCartney as well as looks from the AW2011 collections of Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, and Marchesa. Simultaneously, a limited selection from the Green Collection was sold online exclusively at NET-A-PORTER.COM and all proceeds went to charity as well.

Starting May 12, Lady Gaga can add Paper Gangsta to her resume as she will be writing a style column for V Magazine! We can't wait to see what she will write about...perhaps how to turn last night's leftovers into your next party dress?
How anyone believed that this woman shopping along Lincoln Road in Miami Beach was Lady Gaga is beyond me. Not only does it look nothing like her, but do you really think she would be shopping at Guess?
What boggles my mind even more is the fact that the publicist from Guess made a statement that it was in fact, Lady Gaga. Now, if he would have done a little research (which any good publicist would do) he would have realized that Gaga in Los Angeles yesterday - performing at The Staples Center...
But, hey...maybe that publicist knew what he was doing. When is the last time ANYONE even mentioned the brand Guess?
Lady Gaga celebrated her 25th birthday with some vino tinto and a mariachi version of her hit "Born This Way". Mexican food, wine, AND Gaga? Who's birthday is it, mine...or hers?
It's no secret that CEO Robert Duffy has been on the search for a new Social Media employee. (He launched a world wide search via Twitter last month).
Little did we all know that until those MJ shoes were filled, he was having an intern take over. Well, take over in an understatement. This intern ranted about the Marc Jacobs brand and Duffy himself in 140 characters or less via Twitter, pretty much securing the fact that he will NEVER work in the fashion industry again.
My question is...hasn't he ever seen "The Devil Wears Prada"? Puh-lease.
Today is Stefanie Joanne Angelina Germanotta's 25th Birthday! With a name like that, one would think that she is the newest cast member to hit Jersey Shore, but to her fans, she is lovingly referred to as Lady Gaga.
In the beginning
Gaga has come a long way in a short amount of time, from singing in small clubs in the Lower East Side of New York City to headlining sold out tours in the largest venues all over the world. In 3 short years she went from being just another struggling musician to what some say is the biggest pop icon the world has seen, likening her to Madonna. (Well, her last few songs have sounded so similar to Madonna hits, you have to wonder if it is intentional - that Gaga knows what she is doing).
To celebrate Gagster's quarter of a century here on Earth, here are some of her most memorable fashion statements. And by memorable, I mean, I can't get the bizarre images out of my head.
Hello Madonna...right down to the light eyes and gap between the teeth.
She even freaks out Eminem...and that's saying a lot.
She put the Alexander McQueen "Armadillo" shoe on the map
Yuck.
The "hair bow" that everyone and their mother wore Halloween 2009
Gaga and her muse, Madge
Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!
The infamous "Meat Dress" ...the shoes alone make me gag...imagine the smell?!?!
