Sex and the City 2 Premiere!

By now, you all know that Sex and the City 2 premiered Monday night in New York City at Radio City Music Hall. Of course, the king collective was there to soak up all of the fantastic fashion, walk the red carpet, and see what Carrie and Co. have been up to for the past two years!

Sex and the City has been a staple of our NYC lives since the show first aired in 1998, so it was a no-brainer that we would be there for the opening night of their newest movie! And what a night it was! Even if you weren't a fan of the series, SATC 2 is a fun-filled adventure of 4 best friends and the loves of their lives...and of course, the fashion!!

Color Block Tights

Have we mentioned how much we LOVE The Local Firm's Color Block tights???

One of The Local Firm's biggest hits from the Autumn/Winter 2010 fashion show was the color block tights. Autumn colors such as bronze, copper, beige and black in blocks created the Autumn's hippest look.

Weekly Round Up ~ 5.23.10

Wow! It has been a busy week for The King Collective...not only have the king offices been crazy, with many visitors and clients coming into the studio to visit and see our collections, but there have been so many great events in New York City that The King Collective supports.


5.11.10 ~ ACE Hotel
The King Collective helped support Cardigan's singer, Nina Persson, in debuting her capsule collection with the Swedish label, HOPE. Nina performed a few songs as well as showed off the collection, which includes puffed-sleeve dresses, mesh trimmed skirts, and of course...cardigans!

Paper Planes Magazine NYC Launch Party
Paper Planes, a biannual magazine based in Barcelona, had it's third launch party last week and The King Collective was there in full force to help support this revolutionary and collaborative magazine.

5.19.10 ~ Diane Von Furstenberg Flagship Store, Meatpacking District

Licking Out of the Same Bowl Opening
English artists Natasha Law and Lucy Soni collaborated to create an exhibition celebrating new works by both artists. The King Collective was there for the opening and saw first-hand how, when viewed together, the two artists' works compliment each other while still upholding each artist's distinct style. The name, "Licking Out of the Same Bowl" plays on the idea that because both Law and Soni used such concentrated vivid colors, it seems as though they each dipped their paintbrushed into the same bowl. There were so many amazing paintings, it was hard to choose a favorite!

Congratulations to Christine Staub, who has recently signed with IMG, and walked in her first runway show last fall during New York's Fashion Week.

Ivan Bart (SVP and Managing Director of IMG Models Worldwide) told the media, saying,

“Christine Staub is potentially superb model. She came to our office and seeing her we all were blown away. If we had seen her on the street, we would have signed her on the sport as well.”

Last night was the premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Season 2. Our client, Richie Rich, dressed housewife, Danielle Staub, in a flirty fun dress from his A*Muse collection. We at KING paired the dress with Walter Steiger pumps and jewelry from Philippe Audibert. Big thanks to Mia Morgan and the press offices at Walter Steiger & Passion Style Public Relations for all of their help!

Keri and Erin attended the viewing party at Barracuda Lounge along with Danielle and Richie. Everyone had a great time!
